Former 3i Managing Partner Jo Taylor Joins Ontario Teachers’ London PE Office

The Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (Ontario Teachers’) has appointed Jo Taylor as the new head of the London private equity office and Vice President of Teachers’ Private Capital (TPC).

Taylor will lead a growing team of professionals responsible for sourcing, negotiating and executing investments ranging between CDN $100 million and CDN $300 million.

Taylor joins Teachers from Ethean Capital where he was a partner. Prior to Ethean Capital, Taylor spent 24 years with 3i Group Plc, most recently as managing partner. Taylor previously served as Chairman of the Venture Committee of The British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association.

Taylor holds a BA (Hons) from London University and an MBA from Manchester Business School.

Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan is an active investor in UK with total investments exceeding £2 billion. In addition to its TPC holdings, Teachers’ has considerable infrastructure, public equity and real estate investments in the UK, including Camelot UK Lotteries Ltd., HS1 rail network, Birmingham and Bristol international airports, Scotia Gas Networks PLC and Thomas More Square.
